BSP Samoa proudly celebrated a major milestone on Thursday, August 7, marking 10 years of service in Samoa, with a special event held at the newly completed extension of its Main Branch in Apia.

The event, attended by BSP Financial Group Chairman Mr. Poluveletele Robert Bradshaw and Group CEO, Mr Mark Robinson, brought together valued customers, dedicated staff, and partners who have been part of BSP’s journey over the last decade. The celebration began with an internal staff gathering, followed by an exclusive customer appreciation event at the Main Branch’s new extension space.

During the staff gathering, two long-serving team members were specially acknowledged for their 40 years of dedicated service, Siuli Aiono, Branch Manager of Retail Main Branch, and Epeli Racule, Facilities Management & Projects Manager . Their contributions have been integral to BSP’s growth and commitment to excellence over the years.

Since acquiring Westpac in 2015, BSP has consistently delivered financial services with impact, supporting families, businesses, and communities across Samoa. In the past ten years, the bank has proudly contributed SAT$78 million in taxes to the Samoan economy and delivered 10 significant projects that have helped build a stronger Samoa.

One of the key highlights of the 10-year milestone was the official launch of the Main Branch Extension Project, a SAT$3.3 million investment completed over seven months. The new top-floor extension adds 325 square meters of functional space, featuring:

• Two additional customer interview rooms
• A purpose-built staff training room
• 23 new workstations for the growing customer service team
• New kitchen and bathroom amenities
• Expanded storage areas
• A new emergency staircase

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to Schwartz Construction for successfully delivering the project and to Le Vikz Construction for their excellent project management and quality surveying services,” said Tunumafono Jennifer Fruean, Country Manager for BSP Samoa. “We also acknowledge all subcontractors involved for bringing this vision to life. Most importantly, we thank our customers and staff for their patience during the construction period.”

Tunumafono further added, “This extension not only reflects our growth, but our continued investment into people, our staff, our customers, and our community. We are here for the long term.”

Chairman Poluveletele, echoed the sentiment, commending the Samoa team for their dedication over the past decade. “BSP Samoa has stood as a pillar of trust, innovation, and community. Your resilience and passion for delivering world-class financial services is evident in everything you do,” he said.
